Elementary & Junior High
Counseling

Elementary Classroom Guidance Lessons:

• Meet once every six day cycle

• Use Second Step Curriculum teaching students skills in empathy, emotion management, and social problem solving

Junior High Classroom Guidance Lessons:

• Meet daily for 4.5 weeks

• Lessons cover topics in career, academic and personal/social development

Individual Counseling

• Upon request of student, parent, teacher and/or administrator

Small Group Counseling

• Based upon recommendations from parents, teachers, administrator and counselor

Additional Supporting Roles:

• Assist administrator and classroom instructors in meeting needs of students in personal, social, academic and behavior areas.

• Communicate/Collaborate with parents regarding their children

• Provide referrals for additional services as needed.

New Assignment!

With the whole grade sharing agreement in force with Garner-Hayfield my assignment has changed to K-8 Guidance!

While this looks a little challenging I am also excited about the new opportunity in working with elementary and junior high students!
