September is here, and with September comes the peak of hurricane season. Storms will be coming in from the Atlantic Ocean and pounding the Eastern Seaboard and Gulf Coast. Hurricanes cause millions, sometimes billions, of dollars in damage to property in the United States. But with accurate forecasting, proper data collection, and preventive measures, loss of property and life can be reduced.
